Helping Our Clients Secure Uncontested Divorces
In an uncontested divorce, both spouses are seeking the divorce and are in agreement about the terms of the divorce settlement. However, if the court has an issue with some aspect of the settlement because it violates the law or does not address the issue fully, they may reject the proposed settlement or else issue a settlement of their own that is at odds with a couple’s wishes. That’s why even during an uncontested divorce it is a good idea to work with a knowledgeable divorce lawyer who knows how to help you make sure that there aren’t any omissions or errors in your filing paperwork that might keep your proposed settlement from becoming a legal reality.
Aggressive Legal Representation During Contested Divorces
Contested divorces, on the other hand, usually end up in court. In a contested (also known as a traditional divorce) the respective sides battle it out and try to get the best settlement they can under the circumstances. Contested divorces can get very expensive very quickly if they’re not handled in the right way, especially when substantial shared assets are at stake.
Unfortunately, litigation may be the only way for professionals and other wealthy spouses to protect their rights and interests if they have joint retirement accounts, health insurance plans, businesses, real estate, vehicles, or other important assets. At Secure Law, P.C. we act aggressively and rapidly during litigated divorces to protect our clients and help safeguard what is in the best interest of their children. Remember: as bad as things may seem now, there is a way forward toward better times.
We’re here to help get you going in the right direction. Call Secure Law, P.C. to speak with a savvy divorce attorney today about a possible contested or uncontested divorce in the State of Alabama.
Expedited Uncontested Divorces
The term “expedited” means to make happen sooner or more quickly. An “expedited” uncontested divorce is a divorce which can be prepared and filed with the court more quickly or sooner than ordinary.
An uncontested divorce is a divorce proceeding in which both spouses agree to the terms of a divorce (division of personal property such as furniture, vehicles, household goods and division of real property (houses and land), financial accounts (checking, savings, investment accounts), debts (credit cards, loans, mortgages) and, if applicable, custody and visitation of children.
If these things are agreed upon, then the parties can sign the appropriate paperwork and submit it to the Court. Based upon the paperwork, the Court can then issue a Decree of Divorce, according to the terms of the agreement of the parties.
Secure Law PC cannot guarantee that once the paperwork is filed, the divorce will be signed by a judge any sooner than a regularly prepared divorce, but Secure Law PC prides itself in attention given to our clients. The attorney and staff at Secure Law PC are confident that if you desire or need your uncontested divorce to be prepared quickly and filed with the Court, we can provide this service more quickly and at a more reasonable cost.
Therefore, Secure Law PC takes great pride in offering to our clients an Expedited Uncontested Divorce Service.
